Park Plan

In February of 2009, the Friends of Fort Daniel (FFD) and the Gwinnett Archaeological Research Society (GARS) submitted a matching grant application to the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for the purpose of developing a master plan for an “archaeological park.”  The grant was awarded and the Atlanta area landscape architectural firm of jB+a, Inc. worked with the site archaeologist, James D’Angelo, to produce a master plan for, The Fort Daniel Historic Site and Archaeological Research Park.  Pictured below is the graphic that the jB+a team, headed by park designer, Raigan Carr, produced.  In addition to this graphic, detailed cost estimates for purchase of the site and development of all amenities were included.
